Therapy Sessions
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length with 10 minutes additional time put aside for administration (e.g. for session planning, notes, referrals. phone calls and emails).

With a valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral letter you are eligible for up to 10 visits each calendar year with a rebate of up to $141.85, depending on the psychologist you see.

As provisional psychologists are unable to offer a Medicare rebate for their sessions, a reduced fee for therapy appointments is offered to minimise the gap where a Medicare rebate may apply.

The fee difference between a Clinical Psychologist and a Psychologist does not reflect a difference in service quality. This fee structure is designed to reduce the out-of-pocket costs for individuals using Medicare, which offers different rebates for Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists.
Please note that you cannot claim a rebate for a ‘Late Cancellation/Missed Session’ fee.

NDIS, Medicare and Private Insurance accepted. No bulk billing available.

Adult Diagnostic Assessment
The adult assessment process consists of a 3-hour appointment in which a thorough background is taken. The 3 hours are typically done on the same day however if you prefer to spread this out over 3 individual sessions please kindly request this when you book.

You will also complete some questionnaires as part of the assessment process and collateral information from family, friends or professionals might be requested.

Following the assessment sessions, there is a 1-hour feedback session usually scheduled 1-2 weeks after your assessment.
This allows time for the questionnaires to be scored and any further collateral information (if needed) to be gathered. In some cases further assessment sessions might be needed and these will be charged per additional session.

A report is also included following the feedback session (please expect the report approximately 8-12 weeks following your feedback session, a short letter with your diagnostic information can be provided if this is needed sooner, please kindly request this in your feedback session).

- A cognitive assessment with your child - in person, 2 hours (to assess their learning strengths and challenges);
- A behavioural assessment - in person, 2 hours (to assess their social skills, sensory needs and challenges)
Additionally, questionnaires are sent to their primary teacher and sometimes a phone call or a school visit might be needed to conduct an observation which will incur an additional fee. A report is also included following the feedback session.
